Wheelchair Rugby Australia: Sport that moves you – and your audience

The 2025 Santos Wheelchair Rugby World Challenge is coming to Adelaide from May 29th to June 1st!

The brand-new World Challenge will see the Australian Steelers take the court on home soil for the first time since 2018. It joins the existing Wheelchair Rugby National Championship and a newly introduced junior’s division to provide the largest wheelchair rugby event in the world in 2025.

The Steelers will be on a quest to secure national honours after a successful 2024 Paralympic Games where they claimed a Bronze Medal, joined by international heavyweights looking for glory in the World Challenge:
Canada, Brazil, Germany, New Zealand and the Netherlands.

Chungnam Province of Korea and other international guests join our state teams in the National Championship, making this event a true global challenge.
